These sarees are made by the core of the plant Flax. There is a difference with the thread count compared to a cotton saree. The material is produced with a lower thread count horizontally and vertically. This is what makes Linen sarees become unique compared to other materials.
A comfortable and quality linen saree contains between 60-120 threads to each side. It feels comfortable if there is a lesser number of threads on the saree. These sarees tend to get weaker when it meets water. It is better to keep a soft and smooth washing process because a rough wash may affect the surface of the saree.
It is better to skip the washing machine drier. The natural morning sunshine or the day time heated airflow would be the best way to dry your linen saree.
It is best to iron the saree with a steamed iron before wearing to make yourself and the saree more beautiful and neat. It is highly recommended to spray neutral water to the saree surface and leave it for five to ten minutes before ironing.
It is essential to keep a pressing cloth between the iron and the linen saree to prevent the flat shine of the saree. Keep the iron moving all the time. It may affect the saree if you keep the iron in the same spot for a longer time.
